The smelting process is a method of extracting large quantities of metal from ore. I know what you’re thinking, where do iron golems come into the whole thing? Don’t worry; that was an unrelated event. This is the process of melting metal ores in order to extract the valuable metals and minerals. The ores can be roasted, but more often they are heated with carbon in an oxygen-poor atmosphere to separate the metal.
Look around you. Everything that you can see, touch or smell is a chemical compound. Without it, there couldn’t be life on Earth. But we find that the properties of complex molecules are very important to our current lifestyles and our future wellbeing. Our ancestors depended mostly on the organic molecules they extracted from plants and animals through photosynthesis or eating them raw, not yet knowing which of these organic molecules were essential for life functions, let alone how easily they could be obtained.
How to build a smelter
You can build a 3000 degree furnace with some simple materials:
1. A propane torch.
2. A gas tank that holds at least 20 gallons of propane
3. A round metal container that can withstand high temperatures, like an old oil drum, or a large steel pipe with no holes (the size depends on how much metal you want to melt)
4. Some insulation material to put around the furnace so you don’t get burned while using it (like fiberglass insulation).
5. An aluminum crucible (a small dish-shaped container made of metal) that can withstand high temperatures.
Smelting is a process of applying heat to ore in order to extract out a base metal. The smelting process often produces a base metal alloy, but the term “smelting” is also applied to processes that produce special alloys such as bronze or brass. Smelting uses heat and a chemical reducing agent to decompose the ore, driving off other elements as gases or slag and leaving the elemental metal behind.
In this article, we will teach you how to build your own super smelter. This is an industrial furnace for smelting gold, silver and other precious metals from their ores. It’s designed for high volume production and can be built from scrap materials.
The Super Smelter is a portable furnace designed for high volume production of gold or silver bullion from low grade ore or scrap metal. This furnace can be built from scrap materials in about two hours using common tools found around most garages or home workshops.
The super smelter is designed to smelt the most common ores, and it’s perfect for a beginner. It can be built in a couple of hours and requires only basic resources.
The first step is to find a suitable location. You want to build your smelter near a large deposit of ore. If you don’t have one nearby, you can also use an existing mine — just make sure it’s not too far away so that you’re not wasting time traveling back and forth.
You’ll also need at least one furnace (preferably two), which can be made with three blocks of cobblestone and four pieces of coal. Place them on the ground and light them with flint and steel (or fire charges).
Place some gravel over the furnace so that it doesn’t burn up when you’re using it later on. You’ll need this gravel later on too, so make sure to keep it safe somewhere!

You’ll need two sticks, four leather (which can be made from cows or sheep), eight iron ingots and two strings for each bucket. The first thing you need to do is get some slag. Slag is a byproduct of iron ore smelting.
Slag can be made either in the furnace or outside it.
To make slag inside of your furnace, place some iron ore and charcoal into the bottom of your furnace, then light it on fire. You’ll get slag as a result, but this method takes much longer than just making it outside the furnace.
To make slag outside of your furnace, first place some coal in the top slot of your furnace, then place some sand in the middle slot and finally place some water in the bottom slot (if you want to get rid of water). Then turn on your stove and wait for it to heat up until an explosion occurs. This will give you slag.
This guide will teach you how to build a simple smelter, capable of smelting iron ore into iron bars.
The first thing you need to do is make the furnace itself. This can be done easily by using dirt blocks and placing them in a 2x2x3 arrangement. Once this is done, place an iron bar in the middle and light it with flint and steel.
The next step is to ensure that your smelter has access to fuel. You can use coal or charcoal as fuel for your furnace. If you’re going to use coal, go ahead and get some from your local mine shafts or other places where coal might be found. If you want to use charcoal, there’s one way to make it yourself: burn logs in a crafting grid.
You’ll also need some kind of water supply near your new furnace (if possible), because this will be used for cooling down items that have been placed inside of it during production (see below).
How to make a 3000 degree furnace
This is a guide for building your own smelter and achieving 3000 degrees celsius. This is the only way to get to this temperature, as it’s impossible to reach through the use of normal furnaces or smelting machines.

Once you have your super smelter, you can use it as many times as you want (as long as it doesn’t break).
How to Build a Super Smelter
The first step in building a super smelter is to create a furnace that can achieve 3000 degrees. To do this, you will need:
A crucible made of platinum or silver. You can get these from blacksmiths.
Copper ingots (2) and iron ingots (4). You can get these from any furnace or smelter.
A bucket of lava. This can be found underground or by mining lava nodes in the Nether.
You can make a 3000 degree furnace, but it will take some time and effort. The first step is to build a good crucible. You can use graphite, dolomite (or other high-temperature ceramic), or even pure copper for this purpose. If you want something reusable, then consider using platinum.
If you’re not sure how to do this, there’s plenty of information on the internet about how to build a crucible in various shapes and sizes. Just search for “how to make a crucible” and you’ll find lots of videos and articles on how people have done it in the past.
Once you’ve got your crucible ready, it’s time to start melting your metal! To make things easier for yourself, I recommend using an electric kiln rather than trying to use an open flame (like we did). This way you won’t have to worry about having enough oxygen around or getting burned by molten metal splashing up on your face.
If you’re going with an electric kiln, then look up some videos online that show how they work and what materials you’ll need. You’ll probably need at least 10 amps of power to get started with melting steel (which is why I recommend going with platinum or another

This furnace is good for melting gold, silver, copper, and other metals at low temperatures. It will not melt steel or aluminum.
