Chickens will eat up all the hay you give them, but they won’t eat all of it at once. It’s best to feed them every day or two so they don’t get hungry or have an empty stomach. If you want to make sure that they are fed all their hay, try making a large batch of it at once and storing it in the barn for later use.
Hay is a simple crop that can be grown in the summer and harvested in the fall. It takes up 4×4 spaces on your farm, and can be placed anywhere that isn’t blocked by anything (including water).
