The IPNI Plant Image Database is a collaborative project to collect and organize botanical specimen images and their associated information. It was initiated in 1995 by the International Plant Names Index (IPNI) and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (RBG Kew).

Plant Identification by Photo – PlantIdentification.org is a free, open source plant identification library featuring thousands of high-resolution images and detailed information on over 8,000 plants in the palm, fern and succulent families. The site also offers a variety of tools to help you identify your plants more quickly and painlessly.

The database currently contains photos and information on over 8,000 different species of plants including trees, shrubs, cacti and succulents. It is constantly expanding with new species being added every week.

The database is built using the same software as used by professional botanists around the world and is powered by the latest advances in computer vision technology that allow us to detect subtle differences between similar looking species.

Plantdb is a plant database with images. The primary goal of the project is to create an open source tool for plant identification by photo.

The Plantdb site has two main components:

1. A searchable database of plants, with images and information about each species.

2. A web application for uploading photos and identifying them with computer vision (CV) algorithms

The Plant Image Identification Tool is a web application that allows users to search and identify plants by their leaf or fruit images. The tool supports two different image types: leaf and fruit, each with their own set of identification features. The index was built using deep learning models trained on thousands of plant images and augmented with additional features for each type.

The tool can be used by anyone interested in plant identification or plant image analysis. It has been tested on more than 1,000 different plants from around the world and has an accuracy rate of over 95%.

The Open Source Seed Initiative is a non-profit organization that has been working to make seeds available for plant breeding and research. In addition to providing seed samples, OSSEI also offers a database of seed images for public use as well as free software to help you identify plants based on their leaves.

The database includes more than 4,000 plant species, each with multiple images of leaves, flowers and fruit. The images are taken by amateur photographers who have uploaded them to Wikimedia Commons (a sister site of Wikipedia) where they can be freely used. You can search the database by common name or scientific name, or browse through its categories (including trees, herbs and vines).

In addition to the database, OSSEI also offers free software called PlantNet2: Plant Identification Software which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to identify unknown plants based on their leaf shapes and sizes.

The Open Plant Database

Plant identification by photo

Plant identification by photo is a skill that can be learned.

Plants are like people. They have distinguishing features that make them unique, and once you know what those features are, you’ll have no problem identifying them.

The key to plant identification by photo is being able to see the details. Sure, you may be able to identify a tree as a tree without seeing it up close, but if you want to get down to the species level and beyond, you’re going to need some help from your camera.

The best way to photograph plants is from above — which means getting out on a ladder or climbing up on rocks or other surfaces that allow you to get above your subject. You’ll also want your lighting setup right too; sometimes just turning off all lights in the room can give better results than setting up artificial ones around the plant!

Why do I need a house plant database

It’s hard to remember all the plants you have and what they need. A house plant database makes it easy to keep track of everything. You can also use it as reference when shopping for new plants, so you know what to look for in terms of size, color, and type of plant.

What should I include in my house plant database

You should include everything about each plant. The most important thing is the name of the plant, but also include its care requirements (which light or temperature it needs) and any other notes about it (like how much water it needs).
