Using basic tools along with a few power tools will have you building a custom cabinet in no time at all.

But that’s not to say that it’s as difficult as putting a bookshelf together might seem. Next, take your tape measure and mark out how long you want your shelf to be. Measure from the bottom up to where you want the top of your shelf to be. This is going to be the length of your first board.
