Materials needed:

4x4x10 (or larger) board (I recommend using hardwood)

2x4x8 board (I recommend using hardwood)

2x6x8 board (I recommend using hardwood)

3/4″ plywood or MDF. The size depends on the size of your 4x4x10 board. You want it to be slightly smaller than the 4x4x10 so that when you put it on top of the 2x6x8 board, there is enough room for the plywood or MDF to sit flat on top of it without having any gaps between them.

Wood screws that are long enough so that they go through both pieces of wood easily without much effort or drilling them in too deep so they’re flush with the surface

A jump box is a small wooden structure that you can use to hop over. It consists of two parts: two skids that are placed on the ground and a box that you can stand on. If you want to build one yourself, here’s what you need to know.

The first thing you need to do is cut the skids out of plywood. For a small jump box, the skids should be about 30 inches long by 6 inches wide. The height should be around 8 inches. You may want to make them shorter if you’re just starting out and building a larger jump box later on.

Next, cut two pieces of wood for the sides of the jump box and screw them together using screws or nails so that they’re sturdy enough to hold your weight when jumping off of them. Each side should be about 15 inches long by 6 inches wide with an extra 1/2 inch added on each end for strength purposes and screw holes drilled in them so that they line up with each other when put together properly.

Once you have all of your pieces cut out, attach them together using screws or nails so that they form one solid piece of wood for your jump box
