The top-rated cooling sheets were made by Brooklinen, which sells a set of three 300-thread count cotton percale sheets for $140. The best budget pick was Target’s Threshold Performance 600TC Cotton Stripe Sheet Set, which costs $50 for a set of two.

The Consumer Reports test measured how fast each sheet cooled down after being placed in a water bath at 98 degrees Fahrenheit (36 degrees Celsius).
