The Amazon selling fees calculator will help you calculate your cost of goods sold (COGS) and revenue per product.
The COGS is the total cost of all your products, including shipping and handling charges, packaging supplies and any other relevant costs. Amazon takes a cut of this cost before you can sell it on their marketplace.
The revenue per product is the amount you are paid by Amazon for a single item sold on their platform. This is calculated as follows:
Revenue per product = Selling price – COGS + Fees

Amazon has two types of sellers: Individual and Professional. If you’re just getting started with selling on Amazon, then you’ll want to be an individual seller.
Individual sellers pay a $0.99 per item fee in addition to other selling costs like listing and inventory management fees. As your business grows and becomes more successful, you may want to upgrade to professional seller status. This will allow you to charge higher prices for your products, but it comes with more requirements as well.

Amazon takes a cut of the sale price of your product in order to cover their expenses, which includes the cost of storing, packing, shipping and customer service for your products. There are also fees associated with listing new products on Amazon.

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) – You store your inventory in Amazon’s fulfillment centers, where they pick, pack and ship orders on your behalf. When this happens, Amazon charges a fulfillment fee based on the size and weight of each shipment (in addition to any applicable shipping charges). This charge can range from $1-$8 per item depending on its size and weight. There may also be additional charges if you use expedited shipping or choose to drop off inventory at an Amazon warehouse instead of having it delivered directly to the buyer’s address
