View Cpanel Website Without Domain

If you are trying to access your website, but you don’t have the domain name yet, then this tutorial is for you.

I will show you how to preview your website using cPanel without domain name.

This was something that I needed a few days ago and found it useful so thought I would share it with everyone else who might find it useful too.

So let’s get started…

How To Preview Your Website Using Cpanel Without A Domain Name?

If you have a website hosted in cpanel but the domain name is not yet registered, you can preview your website using the cpanel url.

To access your website without domain name, you need to add a .htaccess file to your public_html directory.

The .htaccess file should have the following content:

RewriteEngine On

RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^example\.com$ [NC]

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]

If you have a website hosted on CPanel, you can preview it without the need to own/setup a domain name.

You just have to go to your Cpanel and click on the “Preview” icon. It will show you the same page that would be seen by someone coming to your website directly.

Even if you don’t have a domain, you can still test your website using this method.

There are two ways to access Cpanel: using your domain name or using an IP address. The first method is more user-friendly because it displays your site’s URL in the browser bar. However, if you want to test your website without registering a domain name or if you don’t have access to your DNS records, you can enter the IP address for your hosting account instead.

If you’re not sure what an IP address is or how it works with Cpanel, this article will explain everything.

Access website using localhost:

Once you’re set up, open an IDE and type the following command:

Before we start, it’s important to note that when you sign up with a web host, they will provide you with an FTP username and password that enables you to log into their server. For example, if you sign up with HostGator, they will provide you with an FTP username such as “ftpuser” and a password like “123456”. The same goes for Bluehost or Dreamhost – they will provide an FTP username and password that gives you access to their server. To find out exactly what these are, contact your web host or look in their documentation.

Once you have this information, go to your website’s home page (for example http://www.yoursite.com) and copy/paste the following URL into your browser: https://cpanelusername:cpanelpassword@yourdomainname.com

You can access your site by typing http://yourdomain.com in your browser. You may have to wait a few seconds before the site appears.

You will be asked for your cPanel password when you access the site. If you don’t remember it, please contact us.
