Valheim Dedicated Server Settings

Valheim Fintech has launched a new website recently. Moving some of the services to digital format led us to need a better website and other important services like voice broadcasting, email marketing, video streaming and more. The company relies on its research department in London and the staffs are spread across the globe. To help Valheim employees work as efficiently as possible, it was necessary to retain these tools at an affordable price.

Valheim Dedicated Server Settings

The Valheim Dedicated Server is designed to work with your existing game server. It provides the same features and performance as the game’s dedicated servers but does not require a license key. You can configure it in-game, or use our Web Administration Interface (WAI) to manage your server from anywhere in the world.

You can also use the WAI to view your server’s resource usage statistics, change settings, restart or shutdown your server remotely.

To change the server directory, click the “Settings” button in the main tab. A new screen will appear with a dropdown menu that allows you to select your desired directory.

The most important settings are in the settings screen.

The first option allows you to set the directory where your server will be stored. This is where all of your files will be kept. If you don’t know what this means, then just leave it at default and everything should work fine.

The second option is the port number that the server will use to communicate with other players. The default port is 27015 but there are some security benefits to using a different one (such as 27015). This can be changed here.

The third option is whether or not you want to allow players to join your server from outside of your local network or not. If you do, then people must know your IP address in order to connect (this includes people on your LAN as well as over the internet). If you don’t want this, then simply uncheck this box and nobody will be able to connect except those within your local network who have their ports forwarded correctly – or if they know your IP address directly; which is less secure than using an open port but does save time if you have many friends playing on the same server with you often).
