The Valheim Dedicated Server performance is based on the Intel Xeon E3-1230v6 Quad Core 3.5GHz processor (Turbo to 4GHz) and comes with 16GB DDR4 ECC RAM. This server can be used as a base for any type of application, including web hosting. It also has 1TB HDD, which means you will have plenty of storage space for your files and other data.
The server is located in our datacenter in Luxembourg, which is one of the most popular locations when it comes to hosting because it has great connectivity and low latency. The location also means that it’s easy to reach from anywhere in Europe or even further afield if necessary.
Valheim Dedicated Server Performance
We’ve been getting a lot of requests to help with the performance issues on our Valheim dedicated server. Here are some quick tips that should help you out.
First, make sure you’re using the latest version of our client software. Version 1.0.4 brings about many improvements to performance and reliability. Second, we recommend using the Steam version of Valheim instead of the GOG version if you can (the Steam version is generally better). Third, run your dedicated server on a machine with at least 4GB of RAM and an i5 processor or better (or equivalent). Finally, if you’re experiencing issues with desyncs or lagging with friends then make sure all players are connecting over LAN and not through NAT punchthrough or VPNs or other services like Hamachi or Tunngle

I have a fix for the desync.
The cause of this is that you are using the wrong IP address. When you create a server, you will be given an IP address. You will then need to go into your router and forward that port onto your computer. To find out what your IP address is, open your console (the tilde key) and type “ipconfig”. It should be something like 192.168.0.2 or such similar.
You then need to go into your router and forward port 27015 onto that address. If you do not know how to do this, go to google and search for your router model number plus “how to forward ports” (or whatever). For example if your router model was Netgear WGR614v3 then search “how to forward ports on a Netgear WGR614v3” (or similar).
Valheim Desync Fix
Valheim is a very popular game and it has some known issues that make it unplayable. The main issue is that the game desyncs when you play with your friends.
When you start playing Valheim multiplayer with your friends, the game will start lagging and you will not be able to move or shoot.
This issue only happens when you play with people from different regions. You can try to fix this by changing your region in the settings of your PS4 or Xbox One, but this does not always work.
If you want to play with your friends without any lag, then here is how to fix the Valheim desync issues:
Go to Settings > External Storage Devices > USB Storage Device (1) > PS4> System Storage > Saved Data > Saved Data > Games & Apps > Valheim > Data (2).
In Data there are two folders named “High” and “Low”, delete both of them and then restart your console.
A lot of players are having issues with Valheim’s multiplayer mode, the game is very laggy and the servers are often down.
Here’s a quick guide to help you fix this issue.
1. If you’re experiencing server lag or disconnects, just try to connect via a different server. If one doesn’t work, try another one.
2. The easiest way to find a better server is to use Steam’s “Steam Overlay” feature (available on Steam version only). Just open the overlay, click on “View Stats”, then click on “Server Check”. You should see all available servers from your region (if any).

Hello everyone, it’s time to talk about the multiplayer fixes and updates coming to the game. I’m sure you’ve all noticed that multiplayer is still very much a work in progress. The good news is that we know what needs to be done to fix the issues and we’re working on getting them resolved as quickly as possible.
We have identified two major issues that are causing problems with multiplayer:
Desync – When playing co-op with friends, sometimes your character will teleport around the map, run through walls or get stuck in objects. This is caused by a bug in our network code that causes players’ positions to get out of sync with each other. Once this issue has been resolved, it should fix most of the desync issues you’ve been experiencing when playing together with friends.
Server lag – When playing online against strangers, sometimes players experience significant delays in their input being processed by our servers (this can result in teleporting around or being unable to move). We’re currently investigating two options for fixing this issue: moving some of the gameplay processing onto players’ computers (offloading) and increasing server capacity so there are more servers available for people to join.
