Valheim Dedicated Server Not Working is the most common problem faced by the users. Most of the time, it is caused due to some technical issues. The main reason for this problem is that your server has been blocked by your ISP or network administrator. In such cases, you can contact them and ask for unblocking your IP address.
If you have tried to contact your ISP and they have failed to unblock your server, then there is no other option left but to contact our experts at Valheim Support and inform them about your problem. They will examine your issue thoroughly and provide you with the best possible solution.
Valheim Dedicated Server Not Working
When you install a dedicated server in the game (valhalla), you will see this message:
This is because the server is not responding. You need to check your network connection, or your firewall settings. The most common reason for this problem is that your firewall or antivirus software is blocking access to the server. If you can’t change any firewall settings, ask someone else who knows computers to help you.
When you are setting up a dedicated server, you may encounter some problems. The most common issues are:
Valheim is full of bugs and crashes, and the dedicated server is not working.
The game has an official Steam group chat where players are complaining about the same issues.
There are a lot of players who cannot connect to the server, and others who have managed to sign up in time but can’t join their friends’ games.
This problem is affecting everyone who has tried to play since the start of Early Access.
The game’s developer has acknowledged the problem on Twitter, but there’s no word on when it will be fixed.
I can’t connect to my valheim dedicated server. When starting it up, I get the following message:
“An exception has occurred while trying to launch the server. Please check your internet connection and try again.”
I’ve tried checking the internet connection (it’s fine), restarting my computer, etc., but nothing seems to work. The only way I can get into my server is if I use my friend’s computer, but if he tries to join my game it gives him the same error message.
I’m running Windows 7, by the way.
When you have a dedicated server and it’s not working, the first thing that comes to mind is whether you have set up the server correctly. To make sure that your server is working, follow these steps:
First, check your firewall settings to make sure they don’t block any ports or IP addresses. You can also ask your hosting provider if they have any firewall rules set up.
Second, you need to make sure that your hardware is up to date and compatible with Valheim. If the hardware isn’t up-to-date then that could be causing problems with your connection.
Next, try running a Ping test on your IP address by visiting https://www.pingtest.net/. This will let you know if there are any issues with your network connection between Valheim servers and your computer/device.
Finally, if none of these solutions work then contact support for assistance in troubleshooting the problem with your server configuration .

When I start my server i get the following error:

I’m trying to run a valheim dedicated server, and I’m getting an “Unhandled exception” error. I’ve tried looking up other people with the same issue, but I’ve had no luck finding anything that helps me.
I’ve already installed it on my computer and I’ve gone through the setup process once before. When I open the start menu and click the “valheim dedicated server” icon, it brings me to the server options screen where I can set up my game mode, map rotation, etcetera. However when I go back to playing my own game in single player mode, there’s no option to start a new game on my dedicated server.
I’ve tried restarting my computer multiple times as well as reinstalling everything again just in case something went wrong during installation but nothing has changed so far.
Valheim is a simple and lightweight virtual machine hosting platform. It allows you to turn your server into a fully featured game server in just a few minutes.
With Valheim you can host any game that runs on Windows, Linux or macOS.
When you start the server, it takes quite a bit longer than usual.
When I try to connect to my server from my friend’s computer, I get this error message: “The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error”.
