Cloudflare disable universal SSL
If your domain uses Universal SSL and you need to disable it in order to configure Cloudflare HTTPS settings then follow these steps:
Log into your control panel and click on “My Apps” under your username
Click on the app where you want to disable Universal SSL
Click on “Advanced Settings” (This may be located under “Domain Details”)
Scroll down until you see “SSL Settings” (This might be located under “Security” or “Advanced”) then click on “Disable Universal SSL”

2) Upload your new certificate to Cloudflare by clicking on the Crypto tab in your account dashboard, then clicking “Add Certificate”. This will bring up a form where you can upload your certificate.
3) Once uploaded, return to the Crypto page and click “Update Certificate”. Give Cloudflare some time to process this request – it can take several minutes – then refresh the page once done. If all went well, the green padlock icon should now be displayed next to your site URL in your browser address bar indicating that HTTPS is active!
Custom SSL certificates are an alternative to the Cloudflare Universal SSL. Custom SSL certificates allow you to use your own domain name and host it on your own server. You can use Cloudflare’s CDN service for free, but you will need to pay for the SSL certificate from a third party.
If you enable Universal SSL, all traffic to your site will be encrypted via HTTPS. However, if you disable Universal SSL then only specific resources such as login pages or other sensitive pages will be secured by HTTPS using HSTS headers.

This means that anyone with access to the network between the visitor and Cloudflare’s servers can’t see the data being transmitted.
Note: You will not see this option if you are using a shared IP address with other sites on our platform.
Strict mode requires all connections over HTTPS to use a valid “Strict-Transport-Security” header from the server being visited. If a site doesn’t send this header, it won’t be able to load over HTTPS. Strict mode is recommended for all sites served via CloudFlare, regardless of whether they use Universal SSL or not.
