Upload Laravel Project To Cpanel Subdomain
I have a laravel project on my computer and I want to upload it to my cpanel subdomain. How do I do that?
I have tried uploading the files using FTP, but I get an error message saying “The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.”
I have also tried using SFTP, but that just shows me the contents of the directory, and not the actual files.
Here’s how:
Laravel is the most popular PHP framework. The Laravel framework is a free, open source PHP web application framework with expressive, elegant syntax. It was created by Taylor Otwell and intended to make web development faster and more enjoyable by reducing common headaches associated with developing robust, secure, and large applications.
Laravel projects are always hosted in cpanel subdomain. We are going to share some steps to upload laravel project on cpanel subdomain:
Step 1: Login to your cpanel account and select “File Manager” from main menu.
Step 2: Now go to your public_html folder. If you have not created this folder then create it by clicking “Create New Folder”.
Step 3: Now create a new folder named public_html/laravel/. (Note that this folder name should be same as your project name.)
Step 4: Now go back to File Manager -> Upload files -> Select your laravel project from local computer and upload it in public_html/laravel/ folder which we created above in Step 3.
You can easily create a subdomain in cpanel by following the steps below:
1) Login to your cpanel account and click on “Subdomains” under File Directories section
2) Click on “New Subdomain” button and enter your desired subdomain name (e.g. my_project) in the field provided and click on “Create Subdomain” button.
