Terms of Service have become a hot button issue for online merchants. Panellists and legal experts attending the Shopify Unite conference in Toronto earlier this year spoke about this very topic. Shopify also recently released an updated set of Terms of Service (along with a summary document). You wouldn’t agree to a contract without reading it, but how well do you read these Terms of Service?
Terms Of Service For Shopify
The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Shopify Payments service (the “Service”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Shopify may modify these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on its website. You will be deemed to have accepted any such modifications by continuing to use our Services after those modifications are posted. In addition, each time you access or use our Services, you must agree to abide by the then-current version of these Terms. The most current version of these Terms will always be at this URL: https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms-of-service#section_6_b_6c
In addition to these general rules, there are some specific rules that apply only in certain situations. Some of the more common ones include:

If there is any conflict between these Terms and our other policies, including our Privacy Policy, then these Terms will take precedence. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Shopify Community Guidelines then the Shopify Community Guidelines will take precedence.
