Shoe heels wear on outside edge. Over the years, dozens of my clients have told me that they work in an environment that required professional high heels. Of course, they all know high heels are not made to last, but with proper care and upkeep, most good shoe companies will give you two years of wear from their shoes. But what about the three inches that is under your heel? Does it also lose its shine at the same rate as the rest of your shoe?

When I wear my shoes, the heel wears out on the outside edge.
My shoes wear on the inside heel.

Why do my shoes wear on the outside?
How to correct uneven heel wear on shoes?
The reason why your heels are wearing out is because of pronation or supination in your body. Pronation is when your foot rolls inward and supination is when it rolls outward. You can determine which way you pronate or supinate by looking at your shoe sole while standing up straight with both feet together and then looking down at it from above as shown below:
If your shoes are wearing too quickly, the first thing to check is what type of shoe you are wearing.
If you’re a runner, be sure that you are wearing running shoes and not walking shoes. Running shoes have more cushioning and support than walking shoes. If you’re not sure which type of shoe you should be wearing, talk to a salesperson at your local running store or visit our website to find out more about the differences between types of footwear.
If you’re not a runner, it’s important to understand how the heel of your shoe wears over time. Heels tend to wear out faster on one side because they bear most of the weight when we walk (or run). Some people have an imbalance in their gait that causes more pressure on one side of their foot than another, which can also cause uneven wear on their shoes.
You may also need new insoles if your feet aren’t landing properly when walking or running and causing undue stress on one side of your feet or another.
To prevent further wear on the inside heel area:
-Wear socks with padding under your foot for added cushioning or protection from friction against rough materials (such as concrete sidewalks)
-Get fitted for custom orthotics
I have a pair of shoes that have a hole in the heel of one shoe. The hole is on the inside of my right foot and it’s been getting bigger and bigger. I’ve had the shoes for over a year and they’re not very expensive, so I’m not too upset about them.
I wear the shoes to work every day, but I haven’t worn them much outside of that.
My question is this: why does my shoe wear out on the outside? Shouldn’t it wear out on both sides equally? Is there any way to fix this problem?
This is a common problem with women’s shoes, especially if the shoe has a narrow toe box. Women are more likely to have a foot pronation problem. Pronation is when your foot rolls inward (medially) when you walk or run. This causes the outside of the heel to wear first and faster than other areas of your shoe.
To correct this problem, try wearing a pair of shoes with a wider toe box and consider purchasing shoes that have a removable insole. If you think your pronation might be causing this issue, talk with a podiatrist about orthotics or inserts to help correct it.
The outside heel wear is due to overpronation. I’m a runner and I have the same problem. When I run, my right foot turns out to the side and my left foot also rolls slightly inward. This is called pronation.

Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favourite reason appeared to be on the web the simplest thing to
take into accout of. I say to you, I certainly get irked at the same time as
other people consider issues that they just don’t understand about.
You controlled to hit the nail upon the top as neatly as defined
out the whole thing without having side effect , other folks could take a signal.
Will likely be again to get more. Thank you
