We need:

A brush or sponge to apply the paint with.
Red paint (we used red acrylic but you could use anything that’s safe for food).
Pink food colouring (optional)
Method:
1. Cut your watermelon in half, remove all of the seeds and cut off the bottom to make it more stable to stand on (see picture). We’ve left ours in natural colours but you could paint the outside of the watermelon if you’d like.
2. Paint one side of your watermelon with red paint and leave to dry while you do the other side or until they are ready to stick together again!
