I used metal studs for a soffit project above my kitchen cabinets. The metal studs were easy to install and look great. I used them to cover up the gap between the cabinets and the wall.
I was looking for a way to cover up the gap between my cabinets and the wall, and this was a great solution. The metal studs are lightweight, easy to cut with tin snips, and they go in easily with just a screwdriver.
The only drawback is that they don’t come in every size or length you need. You can buy some lengths with multiple holes drilled in them, but if you want something longer than 8 feet, you’ll have to make your own cuts (as I did).
