The Right Frame for Your Gallery Wall

A gallery wall can be anything from a few pieces of art hung on a bare wall to an entire room dedicated to displaying artwork. Whatever your approach, it’s important that you choose frames that complement each other, as well as the art within them. When hanging multiple pieces of art together on one wall, it’s best to have them share similar colors and textures so that everything blends together seamlessly. This makes it easier for guests to focus on every piece and appreciate how they work together as a whole — not just individually.

When choosing frames, take into consideration what type of artwork you want to display: Is it traditional or contemporary? Does it lean more toward photography or painting? Once you know what’s going up on the walls, select frames that complement these characteristics so everything hangs together nicely when displayed side-by-side. Use a Grid

A grid is the easiest way to create a gallery wall without having to spend hours arranging photos. It’s also great for adding interest to a space that doesn’t have much character — if all you have is white walls and grey furniture, a grid can help break up the monotony. You can purchase frames of various sizes or build your own using wood dowels and picture wire (see below). If you’re using wood dowels, make sure they aren’t too thick or they won’t sit flush against the wall when you hang them up.

A gallery wall is a great way to show off your favorite artwork. It can also create a focal point in any room, and it’s easy to change the look of your gallery wall by adding new pieces. Use these tips to create a gallery wall that will stand out from the crowd.

Choose Your Frame Style

Gallery frames come in many different styles, including traditional and modern frames. The frame style you choose depends on the look you want for your gallery wall. You can also buy frames separately and match them with photos that are already hanging on the wall.

Keep it Simple

The key to a successful gallery wall is simplicity. If you try to include too many photos at once, it’ll be hard for people to see anything clearly or give each photo its due attention. Stick with no more than three or four photos per row — any more than that and it’ll be difficult for viewers to focus on any one image in particular.

Match Your Photos’ Colors

Make sure all of your photos share similar colors so they blend together seamlessly when displayed together on one piece of art. If you have black-and-white images, try pairing them with other shades of gray or white rather than other black-and-white photos; this will help them work together
