How to Build a Foundation in Sims 4
A foundation is a structure that lies under your home to support it. It is not required for all houses, but it can be helpful if you want to make sure your house looks great, or if you want to add some things like stairs. You can build a foundation in the Sims 4 very easily by following these steps:
Step 1: Find an empty lot and purchase it from the map.
Step 2: Go into Build Mode using your controller or computer mouse.
Step 3: Select the foundation tool from the left side of the screen.
Step 4: Click on where you would like your foundation to be placed on your lot. You can either place it on top of grass or dirt depending on what area of the lot you want it in. The green dots indicate where you can put a foundation and where you cannot put one. Don’t worry about placing foundations too close together because they will automatically merge together when you start building with them anyway!
