Step 5: Attach the straight pieces to one side of the U-shaped pieces using screws or bolts, making sure that they line up properly so that everything fits together like a puzzle piece when you’re done with this step.
Step 6: Attach another U-shaped piece on top of each end of these new pieces (not on top of each other) by drilling through holes in each side and screwing them together from the outside with bolts or screws.

PVC Pipe Slide. I love the idea of a PVC pipe slide, but it has to be done right. To do it right means you need to build in some support and make sure that your slide is not too steep.
The first thing you need to do is get some PVC pipe and cut it into different lengths. For this project I used 3/4″ PVC pipe but if you want something smaller you can use 1/2″ or even 1/4″. You’ll also need some elbows and tees for the top of your slide.
I used two 31″ pieces for each rung, one 24″ piece and one 18″ piece for each rung, with an elbow at the top and a tee at the bottom. My tees were just straight pieces that went into a garden hose connector that was wedged into place with rocks (the rocks will eventually be replaced with concrete pavers).
I used two pieces of plywood as runners on either side of my slide so that it wouldn’t move when kids ran down it (this was before I put on top rails).
The last thing you’ll need is some kind of padding material for under where kids will sit (I used foam tiles from Home Depot)

1. Cut two pieces of PVC pipe into 10-inch lengths.
2. Lay out your wood blocks and drill holes into each block that are slightly smaller than the diameter of your pipe (1¼ inches). Make sure you have enough spacing so that your pipes will be able to move up and down freely without hitting any other piece of wood or the ground below them.
3. Screw in one end of each piece of pipe into one end of each block until it reaches about halfway through the block, then give yourself some room by screwing in another piece on top of that one so that they’re flush with each other on both ends. This will allow them to slide up and down freely while also preventing them from being pulled out completely by little hands while playing on the slide!
