The standard engine is a 3.7 L Cyclone V6 that produces 325 hp at 5500 rpm and 365 lb·ft at 4500 rpm paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Ford Transit is a range of light commercial vehicles produced by Ford since 1965. Sold primarily as a cargo van, passenger van (marketed as the Tourneo since 1992), and chassis cab (since 2014), the Transit is also built in passenger carrying configurations: minibus, cutaway van (cut-side) and as a pickup truck.
Since the 1960s, the Transit has been assembled at Ford’s Southampton plant on England’s south coast. From 1982 to 2016, the Transits exported to North America were built in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. In 2013, production of the next generation model moved to the Genk factory in Belgium. With its introduction in 2014, Transit sales are now global with production occurring in three continents—Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.[1]

Ford first used the name “Transit” with the Ford Transit Custom automobile transporter introduced in 1950 to transport cars on a trailer with wheelbase. In 1960, Ford acquired the British company of Kögel to manufacture its own car transporters; this company was later integrated into Ford’s Thames division under its current name: Kögel Trailer Systems GmbH & Co. KG.
The first generation Transit was introduced in 1965 to replace the earlier Commer FC series vans and was produced in four wheelbases and three heights. The second generation model was launched in 1972, although it was largely based on its predecessor and had an identical layout. In 1986, the third generation model was introduced with a new front end design, but retained much of its predecessor’s mechanical components until 1989 when the fourth generation model was introduced with more significant alterations including all new engines.
Since then, Transit production has been concentrated at Southampton (UK), Kansas City (US) and Manaus (Brazil).

For sale: used Ford Transit 250 High Roof with a 3.5L V6 engine. The van has 123,000 miles on it and runs great. It has AC, cruise control, power steering and tilt steering wheel. The interior is in good condition with no rips or tears in the seats or carpeting. The exterior has some dings and scratches but overall looks good.
It has a rear sliding window for easy access to the cargo area, which is where I kept my tools and supplies for work. The van was used for only one year so it’s not too dirty inside or out (I always kept it covered).
Ford Transit cargo van high roof for sale. I’ve owned this vehicle since late 2014 and it’s been a workhorse for me. It has been used as a daily driver, weekend warrior, and has taken me on several road trips to Tahoe, Yosemite, and other places around California. I have kept up on maintenance and have all records to back up its condition.
I’m selling because I am moving across country and need something smaller to drive cross country in.
This vehicle is in excellent condition with no cosmetic issues at all. The interior is clean with no rips or tears in the seats, which are cloth. There are a few minor scratches on the exterior but nothing noticeable unless you’re looking real hard at it. You can see some of these in the pictures below:
Exterior:
I’ve never taken this van off road but it does have some scratches from my driveway that were caused by pulling into my driveway too fast with tall tires on (this was before I got Continental DWS tires).
Interior:
The interior is very clean for being 10 years old! There are no rips or tears in the seats from what I can tell (cloth), but there are some minor
We have a used 2009 Ford Transit Cargo Van High Roof for sale. It is a great van with low mileage, clean interior and exterior and drives very well. The van has been used as a church bus but also was used to transport people in the past so it is not perfect but can be easily cleaned up if you want to use it as a work vehicle.
The transmission shifts through all gears smoothly and the engine runs strong at all speeds. The A/C blows cold air and the heater works great too!
The tires are good shape but could probably use new ones soon if you plan on driving long distances often. There are some light scratches on the body from normal use which can easily be buffed out with some compound or wax by someone who knows what they are doing.
There is only one key for the van and it still has most of its factory warranty left on it until December 31st, 2020 or 100k miles; whichever comes first!

The body style is a Cargo Van, which means the vehicle has no windows on the sides and rear of the van (this is where you would usually see the windows on a passenger car).

The driver’s seat also adjusts forward and backward so that you can find just the right position for maximum comfort (this feature
