Allure of the Seas is an Oasis Class cruise ship owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International. It was built at STX Europe Turku Shipyard in Finland, with an additional block built at STX France in Saint-Nazaire, France. The vessel was delivered to Royal Caribbean on November 4, 2009. At 167,800 GT, Allure of the Seas is the third largest passenger ship ever built after Royal Caribbean’s own Freedom class and Norwegian Breakaway; there are five other ships currently under construction.
Allure of the Seas’ hull was laid down on June 9, 2007. The ship features a double hull design and bulbous bow which allow it to achieve a speed of 22 knots (25 mph). It has a gross tonnage of 166,000 tonnes (171,000 tons) and deadweight tonnage of 97,000 tonnes (105,000 tons), making it one of the world’s largest cruise ships by gross tonnage. The Allure of the Seas itinerary 2022 is a 16-night sailing that will depart on May 3, 2022, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale and return to the same port on May 19, 2022.
