After years of writing blogs, I’ve learned that the best way to get people to read your stuff is to make it personal. So here’s me, making it personal:

I’m an entrepreneur. And I’m a writer.

I’ve been writing for money — as a freelancer and in-house copywriter — for about 15 years now. But I’ve also been running my own businesses since high school. The first one was a lawn mowing business; the second was a small publishing company; the third was a web design business; the fourth was an online marketing agency.

Business Plan

The purpose of this business plan is to provide an overview of my proposed business, the goals I have set, and the strategies I will use to achieve these goals.

My name is _____________ and I am a __________ student at ___________ High School in ___________, California. This is my first year starting my own business and I am very excited about it!

My company will be called “_________________” and it will be a small family owned coffee shop. The location will be at ____________________ where there are many other coffee shops nearby like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Jamba Juice, etc. My customers will consist of students from school as well as adults from the community. The target audience for this type of business is teenagers between the ages of 13-18 years old and adults between 18-50 years old.
