The cost of concrete varies from state to state, but on average it costs about $1 per square foot for materials alone. You will also need to consider labor costs and taxes if applicable.
The size of your patio will affect the cost because larger slabs require more material than smaller ones do. If the slab is poured by hand, expect to pay around $3 per square foot for labor alone without any materials factored in — this includes delivery fees and other miscellaneous expenses. However, if you hire an experienced contractor who uses machinery such as a concrete pump truck or vibrator plate, expect to pay around $2 per square foot plus additional charges such as fuel surcharges

You can use them in any environment whether it be indoors or outdoors without worrying about cracking due to temperature changes or other weather related issues that can occur during the year (like hurricanes).

Concrete Patios: The cost of a concrete patio will vary depending on the size, shape and features of your patio. Concrete is a very durable material that can withstand a great deal of wear and tear. The average price for a concrete patio ranges from $3 to $7 per square foot (psf), with most homeowners spending between $4 and $5 per psf on their concrete patios.
One cubic yard of concrete is equivalent to 27 square feet of concrete, so you can easily calculate the cost of your patio by multiplying the length times width times depth in cubic feet. For example, if you have an 8×10-ft patio with 2-ft deep footing that has no curbs or borders around it, then your total volume would be 8x10x2=160 cubic feet. To find out how much it will cost per cubic yard of concrete, divide 160 by 27 (the number of inches in one cubic foot). This comes out to 5 1/3 yards or approximately $1,400-$2,000 for the materials alone (not including labor).
How much to have a 20×20 concrete slab
I am going to do this project myself, and I have never done it before. I would like to know how much it costs to pour a 24×24 slab, and also how much it costs to pour a 10×10 slab.
I live in the east coast of Canada, and I want to buy my own concrete truck and do this by myself.
The cost to pour a concrete slab will depend on the size of the slab and the type of concrete you wish to use. For example, if you want to pour a 20×20 concrete slab, the cost can range from $2,000 to $3,000. If you just want a 6×6 patio, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $1,500 for materials alone.
In addition to paying for materials, there are other fees that may be added onto your final bill:
Concrete delivery fee – This is based on distance from delivery location and size of order. This fee is typically between $10 and $15 per load delivered; however, larger orders may have additional fees associated with them.
Labor charges – These are based on how long it takes to pour your slab; however, most jobs take two days or less depending on whether or not they’re pouring during inclement weather conditions (i.e., rain). The average labor charge is around $50 per hour with most jobs taking anywhere from three hours up to six hours depending on size of slab as well as any other factors that might affect the length of time it takes to finish pouring your concrete
The cost to have a concrete slab poured will depend on the size of the slab, whether or not it has drainage, and other factors. The average price for a concrete slab in the UK is £3-£5 per square metre, depending on its size and location.
A 10x10m concrete slab will cost around £300-£500 while a 20x20m concrete patio will cost between £600-£1,000.
The price will vary depending on whether you want a plain square or rectangular shape or something more elaborate such as an arch or circle shape. You can also choose to include other features such as decorative edging strips which will add another £50-£100 onto your final bill.
I’m building a 20×20 deck, and I need to know how much it will cost to pour the slab for it. The guy who quoted me the price said he was going to put rebar in it, and I asked him if he was going to use post bases or if he was going to do something else (like concrete blocks) because of how much space there is between the posts. He said that he would just use regular 2x6s and pour them into concrete pads instead of using post bases. He also said that since they are pouring 12 inches of concrete under it all, they won’t have any problems with frost heave in the winter because of all the weight on top of it. Is this true? I don’t want my deck to fall over on me when I’m sitting on it during a storm! Also, how much does it cost to hire someone to do this for me? I’m assuming that there’s no way around hiring someone for this type of work unless you’re willing to do it yourself…
Concrete patios and slabs are often poured in two parts, with a thin layer of concrete going down first, then a thicker layer over that. The thin layer is called the screed or screed coat. The thickness of the screed coat depends on the size of your patio slab and how much it will be walked on.
You can get an idea from this chart:
Size of concrete slab (feet) Thickness of screed (inches)
